College life, at Stanford.

if you thought that college life was going to be slack in comparison to high school life, think again. I dont know who were the ones who said that we will be bored in university because I am certainly not bored and not free and this is certainly not slack. Maybe that is because I am taking a heavy courseload (but it is the norm for Singaporeans) or maybe it's because I am not doing sciences (but I have 1 math module!). Whichever.

I am currently doing linear algebra, introduction to psychology, introduction to humanities (which is compulsory, obviously) and the rhetoric of consumer culture (also a compulsory class about writing, but we get to choose what we want to write about).

Sidenote: There are lots of hot professors here at Stanford.

Stanford operates on a quarterly system, so what is taught in 1 semester in other colleges is crammed into 1 quarter here. Professors are amazing, classes are so interesting, I cannot imagine a better place to be in than over here at Stanford. The campus is beautiful, people here are nice, seriously what more can you ask for?

It's SIMPLY AMAZING. There is simply too much going on every single day.

  1. Yes, Stanford is an undoubtedly an amazing college. But please do not claim that the standard course load you are taking is a heavy one. Not even close. Check around before making such preposterous claims in an attempt to impress fellow NUSHS students. Just because you are at Stanford does not mean that you are able to fool all the people all the time. Stop being the irritating show-off that you were at NUS High - learn some humility from fellow Stanford students!
